Streets of Rogue: A Fun and Anarchic Action Game

Streets of Rogue is a rogue-lite action game developed by tinyBuild for the PlayStation 4 platform. The game emphasizes player choice, freedom, and anarchic fun, and takes inspiration from top-down rogue-lites like Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne, and adds experimentation-driven, emergent gameplay elements of RPGs like Deus Ex. Unlike other rogue-lites, the game is set in a functioning, procedurally generated city, where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life, who are just trying to get by in their daily activities.

In Streets of Rogue, players can accomplish specific mission goals in any way they see fit through use of their special character traits, items, and the environment. With over 20 wildly different types of characters to choose from, including bartenders, scientists, hackers, and even hyper-intelligent gorillas, the game offers a stupidly huge variety of items, including shrink rays, hypnotizing devices, boomboxes, bear traps, and food processors, as well as guns. The game also features 4-player online and local cooperative modes, allowing players to brutalize goons and loneliness. With random world generation and totally extreme gameplay variety, Streets of Rogue promises endless hours of anarchic fun.
