Retro-Games Unite in Streets of Rogue

Streets of Rogue is a game that perfectly captures the visual style of classic 16-bit games while also blending elements from a range of different gaming genres to create something new and unique. If you are a fan of the classics, then you are sure to find something to enjoy here!

A Unique Blend of Genres

Streets of Rogue bills itself as being a blend of RPG, Rogue-like, beat-em-up, shoot-em-up and more. As the player, you will enter a bustling city populated by AI citizens as you attempt to complete a range of tasks. The game aims to be as open-ended as possible, and allows the player a wide variety of different approaches as they try to get through.

Which Path Will You Take?

Each Streets of Rogue player will find their own personal set of tactics. Some may prefer to go in guns blazing and cause as much destruction as possible. Others may choose stealthier methods: it is possible to sneakily take out enemies using chloroform, for example, and it is even possible for you to talk your way out of problems - certainly a rarity in action-games! You will also be given a choice of different characters, each of whom suits a different playing style. These range from soldiers, to scientists, and even to hyper-intelligent gorillas. All of this is fair game in the weird and wacky world of Streets of Rogue!

PROS

  • Pro 1: Open-ended gameplay
  • Great mix of genres

CONS
